Infamous for their wild parties and bloody battles the Queens are both the heroes and headaches of their town Palisade. While we don't yet know how she met the team we do know that she's been with them long enough that they love her and vice versa. She would die for these women and together they have thwarted an otherworldly threat of Lovecraftian levels. Not bad for some rough around the edges ladies who keep getting locked up by the town guards for things like destruction of property and starting fights in town. As for Betty's own past it is still shrouded in mystery as well. What we do know about her is that she was formerly a member of the thief group "The Five Monkeys". She's wanted for an assault on the King of Denval's son. She has mentioned being framed for something "Really bad" so it may be she was referring to that or it could be something worse. For the time being we do not know. Recently the Rat Queens lost their leader as she was arrested by a council of magic users and she turned her back on them due to a miscommunication. She believed they had betrayed her and the Queens were unable to talk her down. Heartbroken they returned home only to stumble upon a larger mystery. While we do not know what took place between issue 16 and the rebooted issue 1 we have been told that everything that happened in the first 16 issues still happened. For some reason the leader Hannah has returned to the Queens, and they've recently taken on a new member of the team an orc named Bragga. Personality: Betty is the heart of the Rat Queens. First to smile and laugh or crack a joke, and last to start a fight between her "sisters" she loves the girls like family and does all she can to keep them together. One might consider her a morality pet if the Rat Queens ever admitted to having morals. Most of the time she can be counted on to be stoned or to offer others the option of being stoned on her drug of choice mushrooms. However her other favorite vices are candy, alcohol and sex with girls so you can get a general idea of where her priorities are most days. No stranger to violence, Betty can be counted on in a fight to be every bit as ruthless and aggressive as someone three times her size. Her fury in combat switches off fairly fast though when her fellow Queens are in trouble and she can be shown worried and afraid if they are injured badly because she knows there's only so much she can do about it. She can be impulsive and fool hearty as well, dropping a bag of gold on a rocket powered sled to go shooting through the mountains, or keeping poisonous acidic candy in her bag along side the regular candy "Just in case." Finally despite her goofy or innocent nature, she is incredibly perceptive. From a short conversation with another character she quickly deduced that he had been traveling, recently divorced and figured out how best to break into his office. In another example while half drunk and woken up in the middle of the night by an assassin she was able to notice enough details about her that she could guess where the assassin came from and even what family she was connected to! Abilities: A skilled thief, Betty can be counted on when it comes to picking locks, picking pockets, detecting and disarming traps and all other assorted burglar type activities. In particular she is very agile due to her race and profession and can leap surprisingly well despite her size. Her weapons of choice and thus the ones she is most skilled with are knives and a bow. Being a Smidgen her senses are more perceptive then your average human, but nothing over the top. Just sharper vision and hearing which in her case can be attributed to how she is so functional even when stoned. CARNIVAL↴ Soul Colour: Sunflower Yellow Ideal Jobs: Thief for the Acquisition team. Relevant Experience: Her position as rogue on her previous team, and being a member of the thieving group The Five Monkeys means she knows her way around a lock pick. Despite her size breaking and entering is her bread and butter, with a close second being her ability to fight enemies larger then her and third being her ability to locate and disarm traps. Reason for Joining: Curious as ever and a fan of carnival style entertainment, Betty snuck in to see the show, unaware of just what she was getting herself into. As she was poking around aside from not paying the price of admission, she also saw fit to help herself to some snacks which incurred debt on her part. Whoops.
